Sundown at Granada Welcomes Spring With a New Menu!

As the temperatures rise and our local gardens start to bloom, the Sundown at Granada kitchen has been inspired to shed our own winter coats and update the menu with fresh new seasonal dishes, full of color and flavor that reminds you of springtime. Our New Orleans hero and culinary mastermind, Chef Jason West, has rolled out a select amount of new spring dishes to tempt your taste buds, plenty of light, fresh dishes that are perfect for enjoying on our patio on a warm evening!


The innovative Chef West never fails to bring us dishes that are non-GMO, locally sourced, and especially delicious with a dash of New Orleans flair and the same is true for this menu. Chef West says, “I wanted to bring lighter dishes with brighter colors and flavors to this menu. Flavors and dishes that go well with Dallas summers and good times.”


Dishes include our FAMOUS Yellow Beet Pesto Pasta that we included on our spring/summer menu last year. That’s right – it’s back! Made with buccatini, summer squash noodles, sun-dried tomato, arugula, fresh basic, citrus chili oil, and shaved Parmesan, this dish is perfect for all our vegetarian friends, but is easily modified to be vegan and gluten-free! If you’re more of an omnivore, feel free to add free-range grilled chicken or wild-caught salmon on top for a little extra protein. We’ve also brought back our delectable Mango Tuna Poke Tacos made with sushi-grade ahi tuna, fresh avocado and cucumber, all in a crispy wonton shell. Chef West’s flavor-packed Seafood Pozole has made it’s grand debut on the menu this year as well. This traditional Mexican stew is made with poached salmon, garbanzo beans, radish, avocado, lime and tortillas, all mixed in with a rich seafood broth. Need more? Our Salmon got a face-lift and is now the Citrus and Herb Grilled Salmon – served with a mango jalapeno salsa, roasted carnival cauliflower, and soy ginger sauce.

No spring menu is complete without a list of refreshing cocktails to compliment these new dishes, and so we’ve added EIGHT new cocktails to sip on this spring! Try our fresh take on the seasonal ‘rita, now with watermelon-infused tequila, cointreau and fresh watermelon puree. Our Juliet & Romeo is a refreshing new drink with Tanqueray, fresh lime, cucumber, mint, and rose water, perfect for sipping on our romantic rooftop patio as you overlook the Dallas skyline.
