April Showers: This Month at Granada Theater & Sundown At Granada

Spring’s done SPRUNG, son!  And with Spring in the air, we are showering you with an abundance of amazing shows this month.  ‘Cause, y’know, that’s kinda what we do…
Talk About…Pop Muzik
Ye old GT is kicking off April with some killer shows that will be pop-pop-poppin’!  We’re getting the party started with the fabulously fierce Queens of Pop, PriMadonna and Just Like Pink.  These ladies will get you on the floor to shake your STUFF!  Did someone say Vogue?  YASSSS.  Lyrical indie dreamers, Luna, will make you swoon with their ethereal sound.  Need some feel-good, fun vibes to get you going?  Houndmouth to the rescue!  This KXT 91.7 presented show will be sure to get you groovin’.  Pop with a side (big side, that is) of soul, The Lone Bellow, is taking our stage with transcendent harmonies and a big raucous performance!  Austin-based crooner, Bob Schneider is bringing his sometimes reflective, but always fun performance to the Granada stage.  Slowing it down a notch, Reinventing Jude blends the smokey, sultry sounds of Billie Holiday with Radiohead’s cerebral rhythms.  Sleepy by name, but anything but, Sleepy Zuhoski brings his beautiful melodies to the Sundown stage later in the month.  Marshall McFerrin and Denton’s own Hey Cowboy with their own unique brand of slinky pop round out April‘s Pop offerings.
Crunch ‘n Roll
Need a lick?  Guitar lick, you dirty birdies!  Well, we got ’em in spades!  Whether your guitar yearnings leans a little country or rock and roll, we have you covered.  Chris Knight, with his story-telling lyrics and distinct voice take the Granada stage mid-month.  Head on over to Sundown for some awesome country sounds from these insanely awesome country crooners: Drew Fish Band, Grant Gilbert, Dallas Moore, and Read Southall!  Need something LOUD?  Uriah Heep is the answer.  Progressive rock at its finest, their extensive catalog will have begging for MORE.  Indie rockers, Slowdive bring their ambient, shoegazing style to the GT stage at the end of the month.  Sam Anderson of the Quaker City Night Hawks rounds out our rockin’ features.
That’s My Jam
Like Jam Bands?  We gotchu, boo.  The best thing about jam and funk is that it’s all over the place.  It’s the kind of music that just makes you LOSE IT, but in the best way possible!  Keeping it fun and far out, Grateful Dead tribute, Forgotten Space bring their psychedelic sound to get the grooves going.  Improv masters, Railroad Earth, with their multi-dimensional jam roots bring a little bit of everything with them.  Bluegrass, rock, jazz, celtic…you name it, they BRING IT.  The funk don’t stop there!  Sundown is getting its fair share too.  Amoramora‘s live performance will blast you off into a cosmic dance party.  One-man-dynamo Henry & the Invisibles is getting the SD stage into a flurry of funk with his layers of vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, drum machines, and percussion.  The Mammoths finish off April‘s round of unconventional jams.
