Night Drive
Night Drive
Night Drive is the fortunate result of inauspicious circumstances. Co-founders Rodney Connell and Brandon Duhon met after a young woman they were unknowingly both dating was killed in a car crash. The tragic event bonded the two, and became the seed from which the band was born.
Perhaps because of the dark events surrounding its inception, Night Drive often focuses on the darker abstract currents of emotion. Inspired by sci-fii cinematic landscapes, they create modern synthpop with infectious melodies wrapped in thoughtful lyrics. Carried along by pulsing dance beats, the result is a stylish and energetic sound that has been featured in film, TV, and radio around the world.
Performing alongside modern contemporaries such as CHVRCHES, Robert DeLong, and Austra, as well as classic legacy bands such as The Psychedelic Furs, Night Drive has quickly garnered a reputation as a captivating, must see live show.
Night Drive’s debut self-titled album (out June 16 on Roll Call Records) is 11 tracks they’ve composed as the accompanying score to a film they are creating called “The Horizon”.
Blackbird Blackbird
Blackbird Blackbird
Blackbird Blackbird has established himself as a dreamy summer legend. After four full length albums and touring the world multiple times, his ability to evolve and transform his world and soundscapes and garnered him international attention. His love for curation and discovery has given him a fluidity between genres and generations rarely seen in electronic music. With a new cinematic album on the way, Blackbird Blackbird has some big surprises for the world.
NITE
NITE
NITE are Canadian-born twin brothers, Kyle and Myles Mendes, based in Dallas, TX. The duo create a unique hybrid of electronic dream-pop music with a foray into rock. Their strong dueling vocals might remind oneself of Tears for Fears' Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, with a delivery of tasteful guitar hooks amidst bright synthesizers and throbbing drum machines. NITE will release new album 'Reborn' in Summer 2017, as a follow-up to their 2014 release 'I Am Not Afraid'.
Nervous Curtains
Nervous Curtains
Hailing from Dallas, TX, Nervous Curtains has been sharpening its post-punk synth rock since 2008. Consisting of Sean Kirkpatrick (vocals, keyboards), Ian Hamilton (keyboards) and Robert Anderson (drums), the band released Out of Sync with Time on Milwaukee's Latest Flame Records in 2010. 2012’s Fake Infinity dialed down the piano that defined much of its early material in favor of an expansive sonic attack of black space organ and jagged synthesizers. The band spent the subsequent two years supporting its second album, playing hundreds of shows, large and small. Nervous Curtains kept a low profile throughout the majority of 2014 while recording and producing its third album, Con, and other still-forthcoming releases. In the meantime, Kirkpatrick played synthesizer and piano on Swans’ To Be Kind.

Con is the trio's most raw and confident album to date. The album plays up the rhythmic tension between pulsing synthesizers and live drums while merging these elements into a blast of defiant energy and enduring tunes. With this album, Nervous Curtains has created a space in which paranoia is a cultural commodity amidst a battleground of convictions and contradictions The band again worked with seasoned engineer Matthew Barnhart as well as This Will Destroy You’s Alex Bhore and received some co-production perspective and guest vocal assistance from Pinkish Black’s Daron Beck.
