British art rockers Django Django are coming to Granada on Tuesday 10/27, get tickets now because you’re not going to want to miss this modern psychedelic dance party!
Described by the Guardian as “updated psychedelia that beguiles and delights,” this band is unlike anything you’ve heard before. They’ve taken what it means to be an indie pop band and turned it on its head, for a sound that is “characterized by its sharp stylistic swerves, but never feels jumbled or incoherent.” High energy electro-hooks, along with transcendent melodies, and sharp lyrics come together to create an experience that resonates long after the music stops.
The four-piece band released their first self-titled album in early 2012. To the band’s surprise, the album was so well-received it sold almost 100,000 copies in the UK and took them from playing tiny back rooms of underground clubs to top billing at music festivals around the world. Their second album, Born Under Saturn, was released in May of this year. Saturn contains all the familiar electronic elements of their first album, but also explores their growth as a band. Clearly, much has changed since they recorded a lo-fi debut in their East London flat.
Though the first album was largely written by drummer David Maclean and singer Vinnie Neff, the second album was a more collaborative effort between all four members, resulting in an even more eclectic, yet sophisticated sound.
Opening for Django Django is Wild Belle, a dreamy duo performing ethereal dance-pop music, guaranteed to get you moving.
If you’re looking for a non-stop dance party with a trippy twist, then you don’t wanna miss this show.
