As festival season comes to a close and it’s time to hang up your flower crown and crochet crop tops, the only way to combat those post-festival blues is to get excited about all the great live shows happening here at your favorite local venue!

Here at the Granada, we’ve got some great shows coming up this fall, and I decided to highlight a few of my favorites. Here are my five must-see shows this fall.

The Revivalists (9/23) // tickets
This seven-piece rock band from New Orleans delivers a fun, passionate performance every time. The band manages to fuse their soulful song lyrics with a unique hybrid of various genres, including rock, soul, funk, and jazz. All seven members bring their own energy to the stage, creating a feisty, fun performance that is always evolving. Their latest album, Men Amongst Mountains, is an incredible display of the diversity of their sound, and there’s no doubt that this show is going to be a big one.

Ani DiFranco (10/23) // tickets
American folk icon Ani DiFranco is coming to the stage on the 23 of October, so grab your grassroots campaign materials and come party with this Righteous babe. Since the start of her career in the early 90’s, DiFranco has used her music and her record label, Righteous Babe Records, as a platform for her social and political activism. Her success over the years as an independent artist has made her a classic in the index of American rock and folk music, as well as an inspiration to all of us angsty 90’s alt girls who are still trying to stick it to the Man.

Here’s a video of her recording “Both Hands,” off the album Canon. Get tickets for the show 10/23

The Polyphonic Spree (10/17) // tickets
Choral rock group The Polyphonic Spree are coming back to their hometown of Dallas, Texas for their 15th anniversary tour this October. Since they became a band in 2000, the band has recorded 5 albums and 3 EPs. Founded by ex-Tripping Daisy frontman Tim DeLaughter, the band is known for their grandiose live performances, with the huge ensemble on stage all in matching robes, their ethereal vibes and soaring sounds will most certainly make for a once-in-a-lifetime show.

“Raise Your Head” from their 2013 album “Yes, It’s True” get tickets for the show 10/17

Dia De Los Muertos: The Rich Girls (Hall & Oats tribute) & Depeshi (ISHI as Depeche Mode) 10/31 // tickets
Who doesn’t love a good Hall & Oates sing along, complete with synchronized clapping during “Private Eye”? As someone who dressed up as Hall & Oates with my roommate last Halloween, it only seems right that I include this show on my list of must-sees.

RAC 11/15 // tickets
RAC used to stand for Remix Artist Collective, and was known for over 200+ remixes of some of your favorite songs. Since then it has evolved as a solo project of Andre Allen Anjos. RAC’s music is fun, dancey, and the unfamiliar twists on your favorite pop hits are sure to make for an unforgettable evening.
