I really didn’t think I’d like Justin Nozuka, boy was I wrong. I thought it was going to be some kind of Jason Mraz thing, which it kind of is, but it also has so much depth and experimental production. Frustratingly sparse at times, and strikingly beautiful. It’s almost like he’s begging to be remixed on every song. I don’t know what to call it. An acoustic Drake? An ambient The Weeknd? It’s clear Justin is in a league of his own.
His brother is on Degrassi, and Justin even played his brother on the show. (I wonder if he’s friends with Drake)
He was prominently sampled in one of Wu-tang mastermind RZA’s songs, and appeared in the video.
He appeared on a song for Haiti alongside Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne, Lights, Justin Bieber, and Drake (Maybe they are friends!)
He’s been on Letterman
