Tune-Yards recently released a new album that provides the same attitude fans love, as well as a new take on their sound. Singer Merrill Garbus is an absolute beast with voice manipulation, and her shows are downright impressive to watch. Her skill at looping voices and instruments is mesmerizing, and her vocal style is out of this world. A blend of sweet soprano and in your face soul mixes to create songs that are impossible not to dance to.

“She’s an introvert’s nightmare, and all she wants is for you to open your heart and sing.” – Pitchfork

The band’s new album, “Nikki Nack“, has a more electronic vibe than their earlier work “w h o k i l l“, but the heart racing beats and killer riffs are still there. Fans of St. Vincent and The Dirty Projectors are sure to enjoy her show at The Granada Theater this Friday, May 30 with opening band Sylvan Esso. Tickets can be bought here.
