Norwegian group HIGHASAKITE will be opening for London Grammar this upcoming Tuesday. The quintet is planning to release their debut album Silent Treatment in April. The group got its first big break when Justin Vernon fell in love with them and invited them on tour with Bon Iver. Their music is a richly melodic form of indie-pop. This would fit nicely in a record collection next to Beach House, Lykke Li, & Vampire Weekend.
The lyrics are unforgettable and will have you wondering about their meanings; which only adds to the intrigue of the music. And one of the bands biggest draws are their bombastic choruses. Their hooks resonate brightly without being overly cheesy.
We highly suggest you to GET THERE EARLY for HIGHASAKITE. After listening to them for weeks, we can’t say we would be surprised if we hear more from them in the near future. Get tickets to the London Grammar show here.
