Local rockers Bravo, Max! are opening this weekend’s Wheeler Brothers show, with Telegraph Canyon (March 7th). We’ve had them here at Granada a few times before, and they really put on a hell of a show! So we thought this would be a good chance to get to know them alittle better, by playing a hearty game of “Would You Rather…”
Which famous MAX would you rather be: MIGHTY MAX, MAD MAX, or MAX PAYNE?
“Mad Max, ’cause it doesn’t get better than Australian vigilantes and motorcycle gangs. Wait, was he a vigilante?”
Would you rather: RECORD AT HOME, RECORD AT THE STUDIO, or RECORD LIVE?
“Studio recording, ’cause we would all live in the studio if we could.”
It’s Taco Time… would you rather eat at: TACO BELL, TACO CABANA, or TACO BUENO?
“Taco Cabana, ’cause they sell booze and decent food. Dishonorable mention: Taco Bell, ’cause NASTY!”
Would you rather: FIGHT MIKE TYSON, TALK LIKE MIKE TYSON, or HAVE MIKE TYSON’S FACE TATTOO?
“Having to talk like Tyson, ’cause it’s less long term injury.”
It’s Party Time… what moment would you rather be in: BEFORE THE PARTY, AFTER THE PARTY, or AFTER THE AFTER-PARTY?
“Before the party, for sure, because we’re definitely still conscious.”
Would you rather: RAISE A TOAST, RAISE THE BAR, or RAISE THE STAKES?
“Raising a toast, ’cause it’s a good way to speak candidly about something collectively positive.”
What kind of shows would you rather play: HOUSE SHOWS, VENUE SHOWS, or FESTIVAL SHOWS?
“Venue shows are usually best cause the sound is usually better controlled than at ‘elsewhere shows’.”
Would you rather watch: SEQUELS, PREQUELS, or REMAKES?
“Sequels ’cause Beethoven’s 2nd really nailed the 90’s dog romance genre.”
Would you rather perform: ACOUSTIC, ELECTRIC, or A CAPELLA?
“Electric, because loud is fun.”
Would you rather be: MOZART, MADONNA, or MODEST MOUSE?
“Mozart ’cause he was a true genius and his first name was Wolfgang. As far as names go, It doesn’t get much more bad ass than Wolfgang. Honorable mention: Modest Mouse cause they have lots and lots of great songs.”
Bravo, Max! will perform at Granada Theater (with Wheeler Brothers and Telegraph Canyon) on Friday, March 7th.
