When these lawyers are not hard at work during the day, they retain rock-star status at night practicing in their bands. Once a year, the lawyers of the Dallas Bar Assocation put on a benefit concert. All proceeds are to go towards the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, a joint initiative of the Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas that enhance pro bono legal services to low-income residents of Dallas county.
Proves after all that these lawyers have got a big hearts and rocking mentality to go with it. Featuring 7 bands comprised of all Dallas-area lawyers and judges, Saturday August 20th will be a hardcore night indeed. Where else can you find 7 bands exclusively made up of the legal experts around Dallas counties? Brains and fun, August 20th is going to be a great night.
Doors open at 5:30PM and starting at 6, The Usuals, a cover band consisted of 4 lawyers will step onstage. The night will continue underlining other acts such as Big Wheel, Black Dirt Tango, The Catdaddies, Blue Collar Crime, The Wrecking Crew, and the best of it all at midnight: Texas Rock Association (who means serious business in a good way).
The Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program assists approximately 3,475 families a year with legal services. Well done, rock-star-lawyer-superhumans.
